Roberto De Zerbi savoured his first victory as Tottenham boss after Joao Palhinha’s late strike sealed a 1-0 win at Wolves, Spurs’ first league success of 2026.
The result briefly lifted them out of the drop zone before West Ham’s stoppage‑time winner kept Spurs third from bottom with four matches left.
“It was important to win after Brighton,” De Zerbi said. “These points can be crucial for mentality and enthusiasm.”
Spurs, among the world’s richest clubs, are fighting to avoid a first relegation since 1977.
