Residents of Masaka, led by members of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) and security personnel, turned up in large numbers for a marathon held in celebration of the 52nd birthday of Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
The run, which attracted a significant turnout, kicked off at Masaka Liberation Square in Katwe and wound through various streets across Masaka City, as participants demonstrated solidarity and marked the army chief’s milestone.
