Matheus Cunha says Michael Carrick has the “Ferguson magic” after his goal set up United’s 3‑2 win over Liverpool, sealing Champions League qualification with three games to spare.
Carrick has delivered 10 wins in 14 matches since replacing Ruben Amorim, putting him in line for the permanent job.
Cunha insists the interim boss deserves it: “He teaches us how it was. It’s amazing.”
United still need four points to secure a top‑three finish, while Cunha’s nine‑goal haul has included decisive strikes at Arsenal and Chelsea. He also hinted Casemiro may yet stay despite talk of his exit.
“This is the first step,” Cunha said. “We could come much stronger next season.”
