Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy has suffered a rectus femoris tendon injury in his right leg, forcing him off after 14 minutes of Sunday’s 2-0 win over Espanyol.
The Frenchman will undergo surgery and is expected to miss several months, marking his 16th setback since joining from Lyon in 2019.
