Oliver Glasner says “now is not the time to get melancholic” as Crystal Palace aim to reach their first European final before his summer exit.
Palace lead Shakhtar Donetsk 3-1 ahead of Thursday’s Conference League semi-final return at Selhurst Park. Victory would set up a May 27 showdown in Leipzig, likely Glasner’s last game in charge.
The Austrian, who delivered the FA Cup and Community Shield, announced his departure in January after a shock cup exit and frustration with transfer policy.
Glasner urged his players to “do it for themselves, the club, the fans,” adding: “They tasted honey last year with the FA Cup. This year they want it sweeter.”
Palace could face Strasbourg or Rayo Vallecano in the final, but Glasner warned: “We will need another great performance. At home, with our fans, we play with confidence.”
