The CAF Executive Committee has announced that Senegal will host the 2026 CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
CAF stated that the decision reflects its confidence in Senegal’s ability to host world-class events and honors the country’s massive impact on African beach soccer.
Senegal previously hosted the tournament in 2021 and is a dominant five-time consecutive champion, having recently won the 2024 edition in Egypt.
The 2026 tournament will feature eight of Africa’s top beach soccer nations.
In addition to competing for the continental title, teams will be fighting for highly coveted qualification spots at the 2027 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
