Southampton have appealed their expulsion from the Championship play-off final after admitting to spying on Middlesbrough’s training.
The EFL commission removed the Saints and docked them four points for next season, reinstating Boro to face Hull at Wembley.
Chief executive Phil Parsons apologised to fans and rival clubs, but insisted the sanction was excessive compared to Leeds’ £200,000 fine in 2019.
The appeal will be heard later today, with the outcome set to determine the final line-up.
