Southampton have been expelled from the Championship play‑offs and docked four points next season after admitting to spying on rivals.
The FA has launched its own probe into the scandal, which saw Saints observe training sessions of Middlesbrough, Oxford United, and Ipswich Town. Individuals involved could face bans.
Middlesbrough are reinstated to face Hull City in Saturday’s Wembley final, with promotion worth at least £200m. Hull owner Acun Ilicali voiced anger at the late change of opponents.
Southampton’s appeal was dismissed, the club calling the ruling “extremely disappointing.”
