Michel Platini has filed civil and criminal cases against Fifa and president Gianni Infantino, claiming the 2015 corruption probe wrecked his bid to lead world football.
The former Uefa chief, 70, accuses Infantino and two ex‑Fifa officials of malicious prosecution in French courts, while also seeking damages in a separate civil suit.

Platini, once favourite to succeed Sepp Blatter, was banned after a disputed 2m Swiss franc payment. Though cleared of corruption in 2025 alongside Blatter, his path to the presidency was blocked, with Infantino rising instead.
FIFA has yet to respond to the new legal action.
