Mourinho previously led Madrid from 2010 to 2013, winning LaLiga, the Copa del Rey and the Super Cup. His comeback comes after Los Blancos endured a second straight trophyless season.
Benfica quickly moved to appoint Marco Silva, agreeing a two‑year deal with the former Fulham boss. Meanwhile, Madrid confirmed Álvaro Arbeloa’s exit, clearing the bench for Mourinho’s return.
