Ndejje Angels secured a hard-fought victory against the UCU Canons in the NBL Men’s league, with a final score of 76-72. The game, which tipped off at 9:00 pm on the 3rd of April, saw Ndejje pick up only their third win of the regular season.
Despite Ndejje Angels’ recent struggles, having lost four of their previous games, they rallied together to stun UCU Canons who were considered the favourites going into the clash.
Led by standout performances from Haron Alinaitwe and Christian Ndibu, who contributed 19 and 17 index points respectively, Ndejje Angels displayed resilience and determination on the court.
Meanwhile, the UCU Canons put up a valiant effort, with Peter Sifuma delivering a standout performance with an impressive 27 points and 21 rebounds, earning him a staggering index score of 36. However, it wasn’t enough to secure victory for the Canons.
The game was a closely contested affair, with both teams trading blows throughout all four periods. Ndejje Angels managed to maintain their composure in the crucial moments, ultimately sealing the win in the final seconds of the game.

With this win, Ndejje Angels are ninth in the standings with 13 points, while the UCU Canons are sixth with 14 points.
