Former Uganda Cricket Cranes captain, Arnold Otwani, has officially signed with UK club Frocester. The club made the announcement through a statement, expressing their excitement at welcoming the talented all-rounder to their ranks.
Otwani, renowned for his prowess as a top-order batter and wicketkeeper, joins Frocester from Marshfield. The club said they eagerly anticipated his contributions on the pitch at Pounds Close.
The Mwiri Old Boy has a wealth of experience both with the Cricket Cranes and former club Marshfield. Last year, he contributed 114 runs and 3 wickets for his former club.
In October 2018, Otwani represented Uganda in the ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament held in Oman. He emerged as Uganda’s leading run-scorer with 151 runs in five matches. He made his T20i debut for Uganda against Botswana in May 2019 before earning the captaincy for Uganda’s T20 series against Namibia in April 2021.
Frocester start their preseason games on Saturday 13th April with the league expected to begin on Saturday 7th May.
