The 2024 National Ludo Super League witnessed an exciting showdown between two rising forces; Najjemba Ludo Club and Bulemezi Ludo Club. Bulemezi climbed to the top of the standings with a commanding 3-1 victory over debutants Najjemba.
Stellar performances by key players Kayemba Alex and Nakibowa Joanita secured two sets, propelling Bulemezi to triumph and tying them with Nakawa Market at 9 points.
Bulemezi’s Head Coach Wandyaka Ronald credited their victory to the experienced players in his lineup saying they brought much-needed expertise to his side.
Mubiru Emmanuel, a pivotal player for Bulemezi, reflected on their triumph, acknowledging not only their experience but also applauding the formidable fight put up by their opponents.
Najjemba’s Head Coach Nsubaga Kamili Isaiah accepted their defeat, acknowledging the inexperience of their team in the league. He said his team would take home the lessons and hope to get better with every other match.
In other games played in Game Week 5, Nakawa Market secured the second position by defeating Buloba A 3-1, despite Ssenabulya Jamil’s red card.
Masaka Giants thrashed Kiboga Young 4-0 at home, with stellar contributions from Kato Charles, Ssenyonyi Ivan, and Matovu Huzaifa.
Other matches yielded the following results: All Stars Nansana drew 2-2 with Ntinda United at Tinka Pub, Nansana, and Kazo Hill drew 2-2 with Gulu City at Kazo Arena.
