Ugandan boxer Tumusiime Nerrick, popularly known as “Nerrick Bulabe,” has switched from the welterweight category to the 71kg Elite category for the 2024 National Boxing Open Championship.
The championship is taking place at the NCS – Lugogo arena from April 22nd to April 27th, 2024 and promises to be a spectacle of raw talent and fierce competition.
Hailing from the renowned Kololo High Boxing Club, Tumusiime has captured the attention of fans and pundits alike with his remarkable skill in previous competitions. Now, as he ventures into a new weight category, the stakes are even higher than ever.
Despite the challenges faced by previous boxers in the 71kg category, Tumusiime says he is determined and hopes to progress to the Boxing Champions league and earn the chance to represent Uganda in upcoming international competitions.
