Express FC forward Ssali Alpha Thiery has issued a rallying cry to fans as the club prepares for a crucial encounter against Kitara FC. With the season approaching its climax, Thiery emphasized the importance of fan support in propelling the team forward.
Acknowledging recent subpar performances, Thiery assured supporters that the team has been diligently training to rectify their shortcomings.
“We know our performances haven’t been the best but we’ve been training very hard to work on the next games. We promise to leave it all on the pitch,” he said.
The upcoming match sees Express FC facing off against title contenders Kitara, who are eager to bounce back from consecutive defeats against NEC and Vipers.
Ahead of the clash, Kitara’s assistant captain, Mucureezi Paul, highlighted the significance of securing a victory to maintain their position in the league standings.
“I know we beat Express in the first round but our recent results haven’t been good. We have to push and make sure we bring home the three points to keep us in a good position on the league table,” he said.
Express FC, currently positioned ninth on the league table, aims to reverse their fortunes after suffering four defeats in their last five matches.
The showdown between Express FC and Kitara is scheduled to take place at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Wednesday, April 24th, with kick-off set for 4:00 PM.
