The Uganda Athletics Federation (UAF) is gearing up to host its 5th National Trials on April 27, 2024, at the Uganda Christian University (UCU) grounds.
The competition, which promises to showcase the country’s top athletic talent, will feature a comprehensive program spanning various disciplines and categories.
Competition Programme:
– 08:30 AM:The day will kick off with a Technical Meeting exclusively for Technical Officials, ensuring smooth operations throughout the event.
– 09:30 AM:The action on the field begins with the Long Jump, Javelin, and Shot Put events for both men and women.
– 10:00 AM: The Women’s 5,000m race will kick start, testing the endurance and speed of the participants.
– 10:20 AM: The spotlight then shifts to the Women’s 400m sprint.
– 10:40 AM: The Men’s 400m sprint and Long Jump events will commence.
– 11:10 AM: Middle-distance runners will take center stage with the Men’s 1500m race, promising thrilling displays of strategy and speed.
– 11:20 AM: Sprinters will vie for supremacy in the Men’s and Women’s 100m dashes, aiming for lightning-fast times.
– 11:40 AM: As the morning progresses, athletes will compete in the Men’s 5,000m race and Triple Jump, demonstrating remarkable endurance and skill.
– 12:10 PM: The afternoon session commences with the Women’s 800m race and Discus throw.
– 12:30 PM: Participants will compete in the Men’s 200m sprint and Triple Jump events, adding to the excitement of the day.
– 13:00 PM: The penultimate event, the Women’s 4 x 400m Relay, will see teams battling for glory in a test of teamwork and speed.
– 13:10 PM: The excitement reaches its peak with the Men’s 4 x 400m Relay.
– 13:30 PM: The day will draw to a close with participants and spectators departing from the UCU grounds.
