The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Official Anthem, titled “Out of this World,” performed by Grammy award-winning artist Sean Paul and Soca superstar Kes. This announcement comes just 30 days before the start of the highly anticipated tournament, scheduled to take place from 1-29 June across the West Indies and USA.
The anthem, produced by Michael “Tano” Montano, sets the stage for what promises to be the biggest cricket carnival ever, with 20 international teams competing in 55 matches. The accompanying music video, featuring cameos from sporting icons like Usain Bolt and cricket stars Chris Gayle, Ali Khan, and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, captures the vibrant atmosphere fans can expect at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup matches.
Fans worldwide can enjoy the anthem and music video on various digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. Additionally, fans are encouraged to participate by creating their own dance interpretations of the anthem’s signature dance step.
Expressing their excitement, Sean Paul and Kes highlighted the anthem’s celebration of Caribbean culture and cricket’s unifying spirit. Sean Paul emphasized music and cricket’s power to unite people, while Kes underscored the anthem’s embodiment of cricket’s energy and culture.
Claire Furlong, ICC General Manager – Marketing and Communications, emphasized the anthem’s significance in setting the tone for the T20 World Cup celebration, which will unite global fans in a month-long cricket extravaganza.
