Several key players are unavailable for the tax collectors with Amis Bwangani is sidelined due to illness, while Denis Kisiriko, Innocent Kisolo, and Godfrey Sekibengo are away at school.
Additionally, James Alitho, Justin Opiro, and Ronald Andabati are not included in the match day squad. However, the return of Ibrahim Wammanah provides a significant boost to URA’s midfield.
In terms of recent form, Mbarara City has had a mixed run with a record of three draws and two losses in their last five games, while URA FC’s form stands at one draw, one winnand three losses in their last five games.
Looking at their head-to-head encounters, URA FC has historically dominated with four wins in 13 previous meetings, compared to Mbarara City’s solitary win. The last encounter at Kakyeka Stadium saw URA FC emerge victorious with a 1-0 scoreline back in 2021.
This season, URA FC secured a convincing 3-0 win in the first-round tie at home, courtesy of goals from Norman Namanya, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, and Moses Aliro.
