KCCA coach Abdallah Mubiru is facing a tough task in motivating his players to stay focused ahead of their Uganda Premier League clash against UPDF today.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday , Mubiru acknowledged that managing his team’s mentality is crucial, especially after their recent win against rivals SC Villa. “It’s not easy to manage, but we are trying our level best to make sure that everyone comes when they are on top of their game,” he said.
Mubiru also emphasized the importance of performing better than they did in their previous games, saying, “We need to put pressure on ourselves to achieve our target of playing better than the previous games.”
The coach also praised his players for their efforts, saying, “I’m really too demandful. I demand quite a lot from them, and it wasn’t easy, especially for those who are new working with me, but they are trying their level best.”
However, Mubiru expressed his concerns about the team’s current position in the league, saying, “The club can’t be proud of being number six in the league. I don’t think the board can be proud of that because their targets and ambitions are bigger.”
The match against UPDF FC will be played at the MTN Omondi Stadium today, and KCCA will be looking to build on their recent win against SC Villa.
