Initially part of Bidco departmental competitions, it was established in 2006-2007 with a corporate social responsibility aim to market and promote Bidco Products.
The club joined FUFA-associated leagues and made its debut in the FUFA Super League in 2011, finishing thirteenth.

The ongoing 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season at the tail end, with the top four teams – SC Villa, BUL, Vipers, and Kitara – separated by a mere three points.
Positioned second with 53 points, BUL FC faces a crucial match against relegation-threatened Busoga United at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru to keep their title hopes alive.
To stay in the running for the championship, BUL must secure a victory against Busoga and rely on SC Villa dropping points.
BUL’s favorable head-to-head record against Vipers SC means that the outcome of Vipers’ match will not impact BUL’s title aspirations if they emerge victorious and SC Villa falters.
The upcoming match presents a pivotal moment for BUL FC to showcase their determination and skill as they strive to clinch the league title in a tightly contested race.
