Officials from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) are participating in the FIFA Talent Development Schemes (TDS) Workshop being held in Cairo from May 27 to 31, 2024. The workshop aims to enhance the development of elite youth players through comprehensive training and strategic planning.
Ali Mwebe and Jackson Nyiima from FUFA’s Football Development Department are representing Uganda at the workshop. They will be joined by FUFA CEO Edgar Watson on the last two days of the seminar, May 30 and 31.
The FIFA TDS program is designed to support national associations in nurturing young football talent. FUFA is actively aligning this initiative with its own Technical Masterplan for 2023-2030, which focuses on the development of elite youth players, both boys and girls.
This workshop provides an important platform for FUFA to integrate global best practices into its domestic youth development framework.
By participating in the seminar, FUFA aims to leverage FIFA’s resources and expertise to elevate the standards of youth football in Uganda, in line with the objectives set out in its Technical Masterplan.
