Intense Action Marks Week Two of Boxing Champions Season Three

Club Obligato hosted an electrifying night of boxing on June 8, 2024, marking week two of the Boxing Champions season three. The event featured 20 bouts, showcasing intense competition across various weight categories.

The main event of the night was a lightweight bout between Ibrahim Kemis of Mutajazzi Boxing Club and Brian Ssekyejwe of Kololo. In a highly contested match, Kemis emerged victorious with a 4-1 split decision in the Elite 57 kg category.

In the Flyweight (Youths 52 kg) category, Peninnah Amoding of Nakawa Boxing Club edged past Lazira Nakagira of Brawn Boxing Club with a 4-3 split decision. Another notable match was the Elite Bantamweight (54 kg) female bout, where Jalia Nali of Zebra Boxing Club defeated Brenda Muduwa with a 4-1 split decision.

Sparks Boxing Club’s light middleweight, Musulube Stephen, achieved a technical knockout over Ssenyonga Kenneth following an RSC decision in round 3. Similarly, Ochien Samuel of KCCA won by RSC in the 4th round against Sentamu Shafick of Lukanga.

In the welterweight category, Kasujja Richard of Lukanga Boxing Club won a 4-1 split decision against Kanabi Alex of KCCA. Other results included a unanimous victory for Senkungu Joshua over Mutambi Timothy and a round 4 knockout by Kibirige Arafat against Mayende Moses.

The third weekend of the Boxing Champions League Season three is scheduled for early next month, promising more thrilling bouts and intense competition.

– Muzoora Amon wins by RSC in round 3 against Seguya Jonathan
– Jalia Nali wins 4:1 split against Brenda Muduwa
– Kibirige Arafat wins by KO in round 4 against Mayende Moses
– Mugambe Shakur wins 5:0 unanimous against Aluma Godwin
– Ochien Samuel wins by RSC in round 4 against Sentamu Shafick
– Kasujja Richard wins 4:1 split against Kanabi Alex
