The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) President Moses Magogo has revealed that discussions are underway with Uganda Railways Corporation to offer free transportation for ticket holders to and from Namboole Stadium for upcoming national team games.
This initiative will offer an alternative to alleviate the persistent traffic congestion surrounding the stadium during events.
During Monday’s match against Algeria, Uganda Railways Corporation facilitated fan transportation at a cost of UGX 2000 per trip. The service, covering the route from Nakawa to Namboole, took approximately 10 minutes each way.
This potential collaboration is seen as a significant step towards enhancing the fan experience and addressing logistical challenges. More details on the arrangement are expected to be released as talks progress.
