Corporal Warder Haron Adoli, a promising sprinter from the Uganda Prisons Service, has made a significant stride toward qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Competing in the international meet in Guadalajara-Madrid, Spain, Adoli finished an impressive third with a time of 45.67 seconds.
Adoli trailed closely behind Morocco’s Hamza Diar, who secured first place with a time of 45.54 seconds, and Cuba’s Yoandys Lescay, who finished second with a time of 45.60 seconds.
The race featured seasoned athletes, including former Olympic Silver Medalist Antonio Jose Zambrano, who have previously competed in prestigious events such as the Olympics, IAAF Diamond Leagues, and World Athletics Championships.
Adoli’s performance not only demonstrates his potential for success in future competitions but also significantly enhances his qualification prospects for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Additionally, his achievement solidifies his position as a strong contender in the upcoming African Senior Championships set to take place in Cameroon.
