In a major signing ahead of the new season, Ugandan Premier League giants Vipers SC have secured the services of left-back Derrick Ndahiro on a two-year contract.
Ndahiro arrives at the Kitende-based club as a direct replacement for Isa Mubiru, who recently departed the club to join Lugogo-based rivals KCCA.
The seasoned defender returns to the Ugandan top flight after a successful stint with Rwanda’s Police FC, which he joined in September last year.
Before moving to Rwanda, Ndahiro had a spell with URA between 2021 and 2023, making him a valuable addition to the Venoms’ squad.
His football journey began in the Kampala suburb of Kamwokya before he joined league record holders SC Villa in 2019.
This signing comes after the club unveiled their new Serbian tactician Nikola Kavazovic yesterday on a two-year deal.
Kavazovic will be tasked with guiding the Venoms to greater heights after they finished third in the league last season with 56 points.
The club will be unveiling more new players today, Thursday, June 20th, and the players will report to camp tomorrow, June 21st, to begin their pre-season preparations, as Vipers look to bounce back from a disappointing previous campaign.
