South African outfit Richards Bay have extended Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Salim Jamal Magoola’s contract at the club.
The 29-year-old put pen to paper on a new three-year contract on Sunday which runs until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
“Richards Bay Football Club would like to congratulate Salim Magoola on a 3-year contract extension with the Club,” a club statement read.
Magoola has so far spent two years at Richards Bay having joined the club in July 2022. They are not his first club in South Africa, having had a spell with Pretoria Chillies previously.
Premier Soccer League giants Kaiser Chiefs were one of the teams that were monitoring his situation at Richards Bay with his future with the latter uncertain but now that has been settled.
The Natal Rich Boys were able to maintain their PSL status in the playoffs and are now preparing for the 2024/25 campaign.
Jamal was recently overlooked by Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Joseph Put in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification double-header against Botswana and Algeria at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
