A delegation from the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) visited the FUFA Complex on Monday to discuss the second phase of the Kampala-Jinja Expressway project.
This phase is set to significantly benefit the FUFA Lugazi Stadium project.
This marks the second collaborative engagement between UNRA and the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), aimed at ensuring both projects bring substantial benefits to the Buikwe community.
FUFA has designated a 10-acre plot in Lugazi for the construction of a 20,000-seater stadium, a land offering facilitated by the Kingdom of Buganda.
The Lugazi Stadium project is expected to be funded by FIFA, with the total project cost estimated to exceed one million dollars.
The discussions emphasized the integration of the stadium project with the Kampala-Jinja Expressway development, focusing on access areas and mutual benefits for the community.
