KCCA Boxing Club champion Raskara Paul made a triumphant return in the third season of the Boxing Champions League, following a disappointing finish in the previous season’s finals against former Bombers Captain Joshua Tukamuhebwa.
Raskara showcased his renewed strength and skill in Week 5, held at the NCS Lugogo Arena on Saturday evening.
Accompanied by a throng of enthusiastic fans performing the traditional Larakaraka dance and carrying pots on their heads, Raskara’s cultural roots were proudly displayed.
In the 63.5kg Light Welterweight category, Raskara dominated the ring, defeating Kirema Edward of Kyengera Boxing Club in Round 2 with a Referee Stopped Contest (RSC).
The crowd erupted in celebration, with notable figures such as Ms. Namazzi Olivia K, the LCV Women Councillor of Nakawa City, and Ssebunya Andrew, CEO of Ntuuse Africa Foundation and Boxing Corner Uganda, joining in to praise Raskara’s impressive performance and resilience.
