Leading the charge was Melvyn Lorenzen, a player of Ugandan descent, who scored the first goal of the match after just 14 minutes of play.

Lorenzen’s impact continued when he turned provider for Teerasil Dangda’s goal at the stroke of halftime.

After an outstanding performance in the opening half, where he scored and assisted, Lorenzen did not return for the second half and was replaced by Lars Veldwijk.

Jaroensak Wonggorn took over in the second half, scoring the third goal at the hour mark before adding a fourth in the 88th minute to cap off a remarkable day for BG Pathum United.

Despite the absence of several key players, Borussia Dortmund still managed to field a strong starting XI.

First-team stars Julian Brandt, Niklas Süle, Felix Nmecha, Karim Adeyemi, and Julian Ryerson were all involved.

Sebastien Haller and Kjell Wätjen came off the bench, while talented youngsters Paris Brunner, Almugera Kabar, and Tyler Meiser were given opportunities to impress by new manager Nuri Sahin.
