Uganda Premier League: Express find new strategic partner

The Red Eagles have grown a third wing following confirmation of their partnership with a gaming company.

Express who have been without a principal partner since their previous partners walked away, announced a one-year sponsorship package that guarantees them 1700 replica jerseys from Melbet

Added to that, Melbet who will appear at the back of the club’s shirt for the upcoming season will cater for the club’s CECAFA Kagame title defence as well as brand the club’s bus.

At the unveiling, the club CEO, Isaac Mwesigwa empathized the relevance of the partnership: “It comes at the right time. At a time we lost our headline sponsor, so any partner that comes is appreciated.”

“We appreciate this partnership. We believe that it is a win-win situation. They have come on board with a number of packages. We believe by us going back to CECAFA, we are going back to defend the trophy.”

The sponsorship indeed comes at the right, but the amount injected wasn’t revealed.

Express is looking to better their last term performance. The James Odoch coached team has been very busy in the transfer market with Karim Semakula Andrew Kaggwa and Anwar Ntege among the acquisitions.

Like other premier league clubs, Express is awaiting the announcement of the fixtures for the new season that is slated to start on 30th September.
