COCA COLA Injects SHS 95M Into 2022 MTN Marathon

With only 9 days to the 2022 mtn marathon different companies have continued to show their support towards the cause of improving maternal health.

Coca Cola Beverages have joined the list by handing over their sponsorship package of 95 million shillings at the company’s headquarters in Namanve.

Isaac Sekasi, the Business Development and Commercialization Director at Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda, says it’s an Honour to support the cause of improving maternal health.

“We are delighted to be part of this year’s MTN Marathon. Sekasi said on Thursday.

“Everyone is obligated to play a part in ensuring maternal health is improved in our country and as Coca Cola, we are pleased to inject 95 million into the cause.”

MTN’s Events and Sponsorship manager Barbra Kiwanuka lauded Coca Cola for their contribution.

“We ae grateful to have Coca Cola on board to ensure that this year’s marathon is a success. Kiwanuka remarked.

“Knowing that we have big partners alongside us, fighting for the same cause is a major boost as we try to help our nation overcome some of the biggest issues that affect our people.”

Since its first edition in 2004, the MTN Kampala Marathon remains a popular annual sports event that attracts East Africa’s elite athletes.

In this year’s edition, runners can participate in any of the four (4) categories including; the full marathon (42Km), half marathon (21Km), 10Km race, and 5Km fun run. The wheelchair race (10Km) shall be held on November 13, 2022.
