Arsenal showed their strength on Monday (4th March) with a fantastic 6-0 win over Sheffield United, keeping them in the race for the Premier League title. Their performance also made history, highlighting their potential as serious contenders.

The goals came thick and fast for Arsenal, with Martin Odegaard, an own goal by Jayden Bogle, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and Declan Rice putting them 5-0 ahead by halftime. Ben White added another goal later in the game, sealing an impressive victory for the Gunners.

What’s particularly special about Arsenal’s win is that they became the first team in English top-flight history to win three consecutive away games by a margin of five or more goals.

Arsenal’s recent form has been outstanding, with 31 goals scored in seven consecutive Premier League wins since the winter break. This impressive goal-scoring record not only reflects their attacking strength but also gives them a significant advantage over their rivals in the title race, particularly if goal difference comes into play.

Despite currently sitting in third place, just two points behind leaders Liverpool and one behind defending champions Manchester City, Arsenal’s performance suggests they’re serious contenders for the title.

Their next game against Brentford on Saturday (9th March) presents an opportunity to climb to the top of the table, especially considering the crucial clash between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday (10th March).
