The Ntare League has elevated its standards this season by hosting the Finale of the 2024 in Rwanda, a country held in high regard due to President Paul Kagame being an alumnus (1972-1976) of one of Uganda’s traditional schools located in Mbarara.
Nshera FC is poised to compete against TY Omujuma, who are two-time back-to-back finalists, at the IPRC Stadium in Kigali.
This opportunity arose after NSOBA Rwanda, an association of Rwandans who studied at Ntare School in Uganda, collaborated with the Rwandan government to organize such events and also ensure the establishment of a branch of Ntare School in Rwanda.
Over 500 former students of Ntare School from Rwanda and Uganda are expected to attend the event, which will also feature cricket, rugby, and golf, fostering camaraderie and cultural exchange. Additionally, attendees will visit the site where the sister Ntare School is being constructed in Rwanda.
Rendezvous and flag-off buses to Kigali, including Kiira Motors EV buses carrying the Ntare Lions League Executive Committee, NSOBA (Ntare School Old Boys Association), and the youngest team in the league, are expected to depart today at 7pm.
