In a historic victory, St Julian High School Seeta secured their first-ever national schools’ football trophy, showcasing a stellar performance in the championship under the guidance of head coach Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza.
The final saw an impressive display from St Julian High School as James Ssekate netted a first-half brace, giving his team a commanding 2-0 lead over by halftime. Simon Wanyama’s penalty in the second half further solidified their dominance on the field, ensuring a decisive victory over their opponents, Amus College School.
St Julian Head Coach Ssekabuuza attributed the achievement to meticulous planning and unwavering confidence, highlighting the collective effort of the coaching staff and players.
Isma Magala of Blessed Sacrament Kimanya was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. Hakim Musaaba of Amus College secured the golden boot with an impressive tally of 11 goals, while St Mary’s Kitende goalkeeper Denis Mugerwa received the golden gloves award for his outstanding performance.
