Uganda Announces 36-Player Squad for Zambezi Series

Uganda Hockey Association has unveiled a 36-player squad for the upcoming Zambezi Series, scheduled to take place from June 7th to 9th, 2024, at the Olympic Youth Development Center in Lusaka, Zambia. The squad comprises both men and women, along with 14 reserves.

The Zambezi Series will see Uganda facing teams from Malawi and Zambia, promising a thrilling competition.

The men’s team includes notable players such as Alfred Agaba, Brian Bayule, and Elias Opoya, with Bryon Matovu as Team Manager and Vincent Kasasa as Head Coach.

The women’s team features athletes like Anitah Atim, Doreen Assimwe, and Joy Sserunjogi, managed by Bridget Baine and coached by Moses Nsereko.

The Zambezi Series provides a crucial platform for Uganda to showcase its hockey prowess, build team cohesion, and prepare for future competitions.
