The Prime Minister and Kakumiro Member of Parliament, Robinah Nabbanja, has accepted the role of patron of recently crowned Uganda Cup champions Kitara football club.
The team presented their trophy to the Prime Minister at her office in Kampala, where she congratulated them on their impressive achievement. She also pledged her support for the team in their upcoming CAF Confederations Cup campaign.
“We are honored to have the Prime Minister of Uganda as our patron,” said club president Deo Kasozi shortly after the meeting. “Her support means a lot to us, and we are grateful for her commitment to Ugandan football.”
The team’s visit to the Prime Minister’s office was part of their victory tour after clinching the Stanbic Uganda Cup, having won promotion from the Big League last season.
The team also recently paid a visit to Speaker Anita Among who promised support for their stadium construction.
