The men’s and women’s national hockey teams of Uganda have successfully arrived in Lusaka, Zambia, ahead of the highly anticipated Zambezi Series, set to take place from June 7th to 9th.
Despite encountering obstacles during their journey, including a significant delay due to a breakdown of their bus en route to Mutukula, the teams’ determination remained unwavering.
Facing a setback of almost 24 hours, the management group made a decisive choice to procure a replacement bus provided by Uganda Hockey’s service providers. During the wait for the replacement bus, both teams engaged in bonding activities, fostering camaraderie and team spirit amidst the challenges.
The journey was not without its comforts, as the availability of familiar dishes along the way contributed to the teams’ overall comfort and well-being.
Upon their arrival in Lusaka, the teams expressed eagerness to hit the field and compete, showcasing their skills and determination to secure victory in the upcoming matches.

Friday:
Men: Malawi vs. Uganda at 11 am
Women: Uganda vs. Zambia at 6 pm
Men: Zambia vs. Malawi at 7 pm
Saturday:
Men: Uganda vs. Zambia at 9 am
Women: Zambia vs. Uganda at 11 am
Men: Uganda vs. Malawi at 4 pm
Sunday:
Men: Malawi vs. Zambia at 11 am
