The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has suspended Dirisa Kasalirwe, Chairman of the Kampala Regional Football Association, and his Vice Chairperson, Nkugwa Peter, amid allegations of misuse of office.
The suspension follows preliminary investigations launched by the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee into possible violations of the FUFA ethics and disciplinary code.
Allegations have surfaced against the officials accusing them of soliciting money from referees in exchange for match assignments and appointments within the Kampala region.
This alleged breach of general duties has raised serious concerns about the integrity of the officials involved.
The FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee will continue its investigations to determine the full extent of the misconduct and any further action that may be necessary.
