This year’s marathon, distinguished as the first certified marathon event in Uganda, is drawing global attention as it offers athletes a chance to qualify for the Olympics. The international significance of the event has heightened interest among runners worldwide.

Patricia Cathy Tusuubira, Digital Marketing Executive of CFAO Mobility, highlighted the marathon’s broader economic impact on the Kasese region.

She noted that local businesses are experiencing a significant uptick in sales and hotel bookings as participants and visitors from various regions flock to the area, bringing economic and social benefits to the community.

Toyota by CFAO Mobility, in its second year as an official partner, is playing a vital role in the event’s success.

The company is providing two hybrid electric cars to serve as lead vehicles for the 21-kilometre and 42-kilometre races, ensuring the safety and smooth running of the marathon by clearing the way for participants.
