Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) and Batball Uganda Limited have announced a four-year partnership, aiming to propel youth cricket development across the nation.
This collaboration marks the revival of the Batball program after a brief hiatus and promises a structured pathway for aspiring young cricketers.
The core objective of this partnership is to identify, nurture, and showcase the best young cricketing talent Uganda has to offer.
Batball will collaborate closely with UCA’s existing Schools Development Program, organizing age-appropriate tournaments to provide a platform for young players to shine.
This initiative goes beyond just competition. The partnership will also involve creating engaging content, attracting sponsorships, and building brand recognition for the sport, ultimately expanding its reach and impact.
The program features three key stages:
Batball Open: A regional tournament that brings together promising young cricketers from all corners of Uganda, offering them a crucial platform to demonstrate their talent.
Batball X: An inter-regional tournament where the top teams from the BATBALL OPEN clash for even greater glory. Only the best of the best will advance to this stage.
Batball Maxx: The pinnacle of the program, this prestigious T-20 franchised format competition will feature the top performers from the previous stages alongside established national and international cricketers. Here, young talent will have the invaluable opportunity to learn from and compete with cricketing legends.
Batball has a proven track record of organizing successful tournaments.
