The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has received the green light from the Confederation of African Football to adorn the Uganda Cranes matchday jerseys with a special badge to commemorate its 100th anniversary.
The approval came following a formal request submitted by FUFA to CAF, seeking permission to use the commemorative logo unveiled by FUFA President Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim during the 100th Ordinary General Assembly on October 4, 2024.
The special badge, designed to celebrate FUFA’s century-long history, will be prominently displayed on the front of the Uganda Cranes jerseys, just above the players’ numbers and between the FUFA logo and that of the kit manufacturer, Janzi.
FUFA Communications Director Ahmed Hussein confirmed the news, stating that the players will don these special edition jerseys for the remainder of the ongoing TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 qualification campaign.
The inaugural match featuring the centenary badge will be against South Sudan on Friday, October 11, 2024.
