South Africa’s head coach Hugo Broos has announced his final 23-man squad for the upcoming AFCON 2025 qualifiers, with star player Percy Tau once again missing from the lineup.
Tau, who plays for Al Ahly, was initially listed in the provisional squad but has been left out of the final selection as uncertainties around his club future continue.
South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, currently second in their group with eight points, are set for a crucial face-off with group leaders Uganda Cranes, who hold 10 points.
The two teams will meet on November 15 at Namboole Stadium, with South Africa then returning home to play South Sudan on November 19.
Coach Broos will rely on the current lineup to secure vital points as Bafana Bafana push for AFCON qualification.
