In a bid to address the pressing issue of cancer in Uganda, Bebeto Bus Company is organizing a football tournament, the Bebeto Charity Cup, to raise funds for cancer awareness and patient care.
The tournament aims to raise a substantial 500 million shillings to support the Uganda Cancer Institute.
The tournament will kick off on December 15th and conclude on February 25th, featuring a competitive format with attractive prize money.
The winning team will receive a 10 million shilling reward, while the runners-up will take home 5 million shillings.
The third-placed team will receive 3 million shillings, and one million shillings will be awarded to the fourth-placed team.
Robert Twahirwa, the Chief Executive Officer of Bebeto Coach Services, emphasized the company’s commitment to youth development and community engagement.
He stated, “Our intention is to provide a platform for young talent to showcase their skills while contributing to a worthy cause.”
Daniel Kaweesa, the tournament’s technical director, revealed that the tournament will feature a unique format, allowing both established Premier League and Big League players to compete alongside unattached players.
This mix of experienced and emerging talent promises exciting and competitive matches.
