Football Coaching CAF D and Football Refereeing Level 2 will have a total of 64 participants enrolled, with 34 pursuing the coaching course and 30 focusing on refereeing.

Okot P’Bitek, the USSSA 2nd Vice President, inaugurated the training, emphasizing the critical role of capacity building in elevating the standards of football across Uganda.

“We are dedicated to nurturing the skills and knowledge of our coaches and referees,” stated P’Bitek. “This program is a cornerstone of our efforts to improve the overall quality of football within our nation.”

The Football Coaching CAF D course will delve into crucial aspects such as tactical strategies, effective team management, and player development.

Conversely, the Football Refereeing Level 2 course will prioritize the intricacies of the laws of the game, essential refereeing techniques, and proficient match management.

Throughout the week, participants will actively engage in both theoretical and practical sessions, including comprehensive training sessions and simulated matches.

They will also have the valuable opportunity to interact with seasoned coaches and referees, gaining valuable insights and expertise from experienced professionals.

Upon successful completion of their respective courses on January 24th, all participants will be awarded certificates, marking a significant milestone in their professional development.
