Kizza Confident as Kampala Queens Look to Strengthen Their Lead

Kampala Queens FC are determined to maintain their dominance in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women’s Super League as they kick off their second-round campaign against Uganda Martyrs Lubaga FC.

With rivals Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC dropping points in a goalless draw against Makerere University WFC, Kampala Queens see this as a prime opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Speaking ahead of the crucial fixture, assistant head coach Sharon Kizza emphasized the team’s focus on refining their playing style and securing maximum points.

“We’ve worked on our identity during the break. In the second round, we hope to see a distinct style of play,” Kizza stated.

Currently leading the league with 25 points, Kampala Queens understand the importance of staying consistent as the title race intensifies.

“The goal is to collect maximum points against Uganda Martyrs. We want to maintain our lead on the table standings,” Kizza added.

A win against Uganda Martyrs would not only solidify their position at the top but also send a strong statement to their competitors. With Kawempe stumbling in their opener, Kampala Queens will be eager to capitalize and widen the gap in the standings.

As the second round unfolds, all eyes will be on Kampala Queens to see if they can sustain their dominance or if the title race will take another twist.
