The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) conducted trials for U16 both boys and girls over the weekend.
Out of the 139 boys and 70 girls that turned up, 30 boys and 30 girls were selected. The selection of 12 players will be done between 22nd and 24th May.
The trials that aimed at selecting players for the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup were held under the supervision of experienced coaches who evaluated players based on their technical abilities, basketball IQ, and overall potential.
The 2024 FIBA 3X3 U18 World Cup will be held in Hungary starting on August 26th, 2024 and will run until August 30th, 2024.
Uganda that finished 17th in the 2017 edition will participate in both the men’s and women’s categories and compete against 40 other countries.
