Butambala Ssaza football team have appointed Richard Malinga as their new head coach ahead of the 2025 Masaza Cup tournament.
The former KCCA Junior Team coach takes over from Kayinda Mustafa, who led the team last season but failed to guide them beyond the group stages.
Malinga brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously coached the Mawokota Ssaza team for multiple seasons.
He has also served in school football circles as head coach of Amus College and currently heads the technical bench at Buddo Secondary School.
Alongside Malinga’s appointment, Butambala have named Hajji Ntale as the new team manager as part of broader efforts to improve the team’s performance in the upcoming tournament.
Preparations for the new season are already underway, with the team set to play a friendly match against Gomba this coming weekend as they fine-tune their squad and tactics.
