Sevilla’s players and staff were forced to stay overnight at their training ground on Saturday after angry fans launched “violent attacks” following their 3-2 loss to 10-man Celta Vigo.
The club strongly condemned the “organised vandalism” at their training complex, with social media footage showing chanting supporters, pyrotechnics, and a gate being torn down.
Sevilla stated they will report the incidents and pursue those involved, including anyone who shared private data online.
Winless in eight games and only six points above La Liga’s relegation zone, Sevilla acknowledged their poor season but insisted that aggression and vandalism would not be tolerated.
They face crucial upcoming matches against relegation rivals Las Palmas and Real Madrid.
