Serie A referee Daniele Chiffi is under fire after a series of questionable decisions led to Inter Milan dropping vital points in a dramatic draw against Lazio.
Video analysis by Gazzetta dello Sport suggests Chiffi wrongly disallowed a late Inter winner by Marko Arnautovic for offside.
Earlier, Lazio’s first goal, scored by Pedro, was initially flagged offside but overturned by VAR.
Controversy also surrounded a late penalty awarded to Lazio for a handball by Yan Bisseck.
This isn’t Chiffi’s first controversial outing, with past officiating also raising concerns.
The dropped points leave Inter’s title hopes hanging in the balance as they trail Napoli by a point. They will play their final Serie A game against Como on May 23rd and the Champions League final against PSG on May 31st.
