Lango Province has confirmed its readiness to face Teso Province in the second leg of the FUFA Drum quarterfinal, with all eyes now on a decisive clash in Lira City on 29th March.

“We are doing everything possible to make sure we win this game. The boys are ready, the technical team is focused, and we believe we can get the result at home,” Otolo said.

Otolo also announced a venue change from Apac Boma Ground to Uganda Technical College Lira playground, explaining that the move is aimed at boosting revenue collection, with the province targeting a turnout of over 30,000 fans.

“We decided to bring the game to Lira City to give more fans a chance to attend and also help us raise funds. We are targeting over 30,000 supporters,” he added.

He further urged stakeholders, including Members of Parliament, to rally behind the team:

“We call upon all our leaders and fans to come out and support the team. This is a moment for Lango to unite.”

Team Manager Ivan Opeto delivered a major boost ahead of the fixture, confirming the return of key players who missed the first leg in Ngora.

“All our key players are back and available for selection. This gives us confidence going into the second leg,” Opeto noted.

The returning stars include Allan Okello, Denis Omedi, Joel Sserunjogi, Reagan Mpande, and Herbert Achai, among others.

Supporters’ Chairperson Innocent Labongo also rallied fans from across the region and beyond:

“We urge all Lango people, wherever they are, to come and support the team. This is our game and our pride.”

Meanwhile, Media Officer Belmos Gom confirmed that preparations are complete, including security and entertainment.

“Gate charges will be 5,000 shillings, and we are ready to host all fans. Security has been arranged to ensure everyone is safe,” Gom stated.

He added that fans should expect a vibrant matchday atmosphere, with performances from local artists and gates opening as early as 7:30 a.m.
